Adult B'nai Mitzvah
Our B’nai Mitzvah program isn’t just for the very youthful, but is also offered to those in adulthood who did not have a chance to celebrate becoming a B’nai Mitzvah in their younger life. Learn, study and grow together with fellow students as you prepare to become an adult Bar/Bat Mitzvah. This is a multifaceted program that provides a unique and rewarding experience for each participant. As part of this class, you will learn a Torah and Haftarah portion, study basic mitzvot, learn to prepare a d'var Torah, engage in a class mitzvah project, discuss topics related to Jewish history, worship, holidays and ethics, and prepare to lead our congregation in services.
Prerequisites for the program include a desire and commitment to becoming a B’nai Mitzvah as well as our Beginning Prayerbook Hebrew class offered through our Adult Jewish Learning program. There will be a fee associated with this course. Details can be found in our annual Adult Jewish Learning brochure.
