Women of Reform Judaism

Women of Reform Judaism at CBI is a group of women who strive to promote a variety of important goals. Among our aims are to improve Jewish learning and living, advance social justice through advocacy and action, and fund the education of Rabbis and strengthen congregations. We hope to inspire spirituality, teach families, support children and youth and sustain the religious, pre-school and Hebrew schools. Nationally,The Women of Reform Judaism is a federation of over 500 independent sisterhoods in North America with a current membership of over 65,000 women.Congregation B'nai Israel's WRJ/Sisterhood is a part of the WRJ Southeast Division.

At CBI, WRJ hosts a variety of social, spiritual, learning opportunities and social action projects throughout the year.

WRJ also runs the Judaica Shop at CBI that is located in the front lobby of the administrative offices

WRJ Board Meetings meet in the Feldman Children’s Library on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 pm and are open to everyone.

WRJ Blanket Buddies meet in the 3rd Floor Youth Lounge on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 10:30 am and make blankets for area hospitals and cancer treatment centers.

WRJ/Lilith Salons are comprised of eight or more sisterhood women who get together in homes four times a year to discuss stimulating articles from Lilith Magazine.
