At CBI, L'dor Vador (From Generation to Generation) is more than just a phrase in the prayerbook, it is a fundamental pillar of our entire congregation. In 1999, we opened the new Harvey and Phyllis Sandler Jewish Education Center, a spacious, three-story building dedicated to the education of our children. Our education program as well as our Youth Activities are designed to prepare our children to be Jewish adults filled with a love and pride of Judaism and being Jewish. We nurture the growth of Jewish spirituality and a personal relationship with G-d, priceless values that they will take with them throughout their life. We stress the fundamentals of a Jewish life:
- A strong understanding of and commitment to Reform Jewish ethics and practices.
- Knowledge and appreciation of the Hebrew language.
- Kinship with Israel.
- Motivation to pursue lifelong Jewish learning.
In this way we can achieve our goals of raising a new generation.
