Birth & Baby

What a thrilling time!  The addition of your new family member brings excitement, anxiety and numerous questions.  At Congregation B'nai Israel we recognize the importance that Judaism plays in the process and are here to offer guidance and to share in your joy.  Prior to the birth of your baby, a member of our clergy will meet with you to discuss Hebrew names, the Brit Milah ceremony, or covenant of circumcision, for boys, including our recommendations for a Mohel, or the naming ceremony for girls.  Once the baby is born, our Rabbi will be there for these ceremonies to help you, your family and friends as you celebrate and welcome your new child into your family, our synagogue family and the Jewish community at large.  To discuss the arrival of your new family addition with a member of our clergy, please contact Monica Rachelson, assistant to Rabbi Agler at 561/241-8118 or monica@cbiboca.org or Eric Weiss, assistant to Rabbi Silvers and Rabbi Bloch at 561/241-8118 or eweiss@cbiboca.org.
