Bar/Bat Mitzvah Honors
In the Bar/Bat Mitzvah, the family is given Aliyot and other honors during services as follows:
For a SINGLE Bar/Bat Mitzvah on Shabbat morning (Sanctuary or Chapel):
- Seven Aliyot:
One for the Bar/Bat Mitzvah student
One for the Parents, and
Five others to give away (Two people per Aliyah.) - Three Ark Honors (Four people per Honor, up to 12 people in total.) (Note: In the Chapel - Two people per Honor, up to six people in total.)
- Hagbahah (lifting the Torah), a one person Honor.
- Gelilah (dressing the Torah), a one person Honor.
- Two people to act as greeters in helping the congregation and your family before and during the service.
For a DOUBLE Bar/Bat Mitzvah (Sanctuary):

Four Aliyot per family:
One for the Bar/Bat Mitzvah student
One for the Parents, and
Two to give away (Two people per Aliyah.) -
Three Ark Honors (Two people per Honor, up to six people in total.)

Either Hagbahah (lifting the Torah) or Gelilah (dressing the Torah), a one person honor.

Two people to act as greeters in helping the congregation and your family before and during the service.
For a TRIPLE Bar/Bat Mitzvah (Sanctuary):

Three Aliyot per family:
One for the Bar/Bat Mitzvah student
One for the Parents, and
One may be used as Mishpacha/Family Aliyah (Up to six people.) -
Three Ark Honors (Two people per Honor, up to six people in total.)

For a MINCHA SERVICE (Sanctuary or Chapel):
In the CHAPEL:
- Three Aliyot per family:
One for the Bar/Bat Mitzvah student
One for the Parents, and
One may be used as Mishpacha/Family Aliyah (Up to six people.) - Three Ark Honors (Two people per Honor, six people in total.)
In the SANCTUARY:
- Three Aliyot (per family):
One for the Bar/Bat Mitzvah student
One for the Parents, and
One may be used as Mishpacha/Family Aliyah(Up to six people.) - Three Ark Honors (Four people per Honor, up to 12 people in total.)
- Hagbahah (lifting the Torah), a one person Honor.
- Gelilah (dressing the Torah), a one person Honor.
- Two people to act as greeters in helping the congregation and your family before and during the service.
