TENTH GRADE

EXPLORING ISRAEL with Rabbi Silvers provides insight into the current political scene as well as the geography, leaders, sites and problems that face our Jewish homeland. An overview of the history and the need for a Jewish state is explored.

ROCK, RAP & RELIGION is an exciting course that talks to our teens in their own language as contemporary music is explored for its themes and messages. Jewish values and teachings will be reflected and reinforced through videos, role-playing and discussion.

ASK THE RABBI opens the doors to discussion with Rabbi Agler. The students choose the topics they wish to talk about and that topic is looked at from all angles. This can include the Jewish view of body piercing, tattoos, sex, death, suicide and inter-faith marriage.

JEWISH LIFE AFTER CONFIRMATION
Encourages a close look at personal G-d beliefs, Jewish rituals and practices, living a meaningful Jewish life and finding our purpose for being.

CONFIRMATION PREPARATION - This last trimester is a time to prepare for Confirmation. Students actively participate in preparing the service through creative writing, music or art.
