Collections for Non-Profits

Members of Congregation B'nai Israel are often requested to drop off items to support various local non-profit organizations and causes. In the past, we have been able to assemble Chanukah gifts for JAFCO and Ruth Rales Jewish Family Service, toiletries for the homeless, Rosh Hashanah baskets (Shalach Manot) for homebound seniors, Holiday packages for Jewish US Military Abroad,  cereal for Boca Helping Hands, Food for Forster Family Kosher Food Pantry and the Daily Bread Food Bank, School Supplies for local children in need, and more.


Annual School Supply Drive
Help low income children in South Palm Beach County by leaving donations of notebook paper, binders, scissors, glue, and backpacks in the blue boxes outside the school office during the month of September.

PROJECT ISAIAH: A High Holyday Program
A food collection for people in need who live in Palm Beach County for distribution by the Daily Bread Food Bank and the Forster Family Kosher Food Pantry. Pick up your yellow bags on the way out of Rosh Hashanah services, and drop off filled bags prior to Yom Kippur services. Needed items: tuna fish, peanut butter, baby items, non-breakable and non-perishable food items. If you would like to volunteer to distribute Project Isaiah bags prior to Rosh Hashanah services, and to help load the Daily Bread Food Bank truck prior to Yom Kippur services, please contact Leslie Pierson at 241-8118 or lesliep@cbiboca.org.

November 3 - December 2
Chanukah Collection for Troops Overseas
Help us make this holiday special for our troops! We need: funding for shipping costs (make checks payable to CBI KFCFJ), Chanukah candles, non-breakable small menorahs and decorations, International phone-Calling cards, dreidels, Chanukah/Jewish music CD's, playing cards, non-chocolate kosher candy and cookies salmon and tuna fish packaged in sealed foil bags, etc. Drop your donations off at our administrative offices by Tuesday, November 11 so that they can be shipped for them to be received in time for Chanukah.
