Social Action
"Tikkum Olam", Repairing the World, is at heart of Judaism. Congregation B'nai Israel is strongly committed to social action and facilitating acts of "Gimilut Hasidim", acts of loving kindness. Our members passionately volunteer their time, effort and talents to make our community a better place.
Through our Kantor Family Center for Justice, we offer annual programs including a Thanksgiving Dinner for people in need, Lori Sklar Mitzvah Weekend, collections of items for outside non-profit organizations, and more. We also have very active programs including Save Darfur, Recovery Team - Tzevet Tshuvah, and ARZA (Association of Reform Zionists of America), and our Vests for the Israel National Police initiative. There are many ways you can participate. Please contact the project leaders for further information.
