Worship

At Congregation B'nai Israel, you will feel the spiritual essence the moment you step inside our exquisite sanctuary and chapel, or linger in the courtyard and enjoy the warmth of the sunshine. We explore a dynamic, exhilarating, inspiring Judaism for the 21st century at our services. Reflecting our diversity, a Shabbat evening service is as likely to feature a joyous baby-naming as a 50th wedding anniversary observance. Shabbat morning services include the reading and study of the weekly Torah portion, and sometimes a spirited discussion on its implication for modern life. On our Friday night services, we light the Shabbat candles, sing the Kiddush and recite the Motzi as generations have done before us. We also offer a calendar of creative Friday evening service programs with the intent of speaking to G-d in the language of the heart and soul of our people. Join us for any and all of these events and be a part of CBI.

Our spiritual and educational programs are numerous and there is something for just about everyone. Check the schedule and you will find youth oriented singing and story-telling, sophisticated Torah and Talmud study and challenging addresses from our rabbis and guest speakers. Music at Congregation B'nai Israel is beautiful, joyful and participatory. All of our Judaic programs seek to challenge, inform and inspire.
