Honor a special occasion, express sympathy, remember a loved one or simply say “Thank You” with a donation to a Congregation B’nai Israel fund of your choice.
Naming Opportunities exist for those of you who would like to honor your family or to pay a lasting tribute to the memory of a loved one. By choosing a Naming Opportunity, you create a visible and enduring testimonial. For more information about our Naming Opportunities, please contact Steve Allen, Executive Director.
Congregation B'nai Israel is not only a place to pray, but a place to study, learn, sing, laugh, greet, raise your children, help others, and of course to eat! We've created a place where our children and grandchildren feel safe, where religion means "family" and caring, where our lifecycle events are handled with love and respect, and a place where we can go and be ourselves. It's a legacy that we have established and hopefully will continue long after we're gone. In order to keep this spirit and our community alive, it's important to make sure CBI is financially secure. That's our obligation and our pleasure. We are the future of Congregation B'nai Israel. -Renee Nadel
Why a Legacy Gift?
Congregation B'nai Israel Legacy funds provide permanent income for the current and future needs of our congregation. Just as a family's savings provides security and opportunity, CBI's Legacy funds pave the way for a secure tomorrow. As the Legacy funds grow, they will be a guarantee of a vibrant future for CBI in the decades ahead.
How do I make a legacy commitment?
Will and Trusts:
Name CBI as a beneficiary for a set amount or percentage of your estate, in either your will or trust.
Purchase or transfer ownership of a policy and name CBI as the beneficiary.
IRA or Pension Plan:
Name CBI as a beneficiary of your IRA or other retirement account.
Charitable Gift Annuity:
Create a gift of cash or securities for CBI and get paid a fixed amount each year of life.
During the High Holy Days, we are reminded by the blasts of the Shofar that we all must work to ensure that Congregation B’nai Israel remains vital and vibrant for ourselves and our children. Please, answer the Shofar blasts, and fulfill the mitzvah of tzedakah. Whatever you can give to our annual Kol Nidre appeal will leave a legacy of love and caring for the future of CBI.
At Passover we are reminded to let all who are hungry come and eat. In the same way, let all who wish to be part of our synagogue family, come and join our remarkable community. You can make the difference for these families with your generous contribution.
Create a lasting memory, and write a message to honor a special person or moment by engraving a brick in one of our hallways.

Remember a loved one with a bronze plaque on the Memorial Wall in our sanctuary. A corresponding Lucite plaque is placed in the lighted Remembrance Stand on the anniversary of the yahrtzeit.
