High Holy Day Food Collection
For over 20 years, Congregation B’nai Israel has collected well over 10,000 pounds of food during the High Holy Days. Bags are distributed following Rosh Hashanah services and returned on Yom Kippur filled with non-perishable, non-breakable food items. A truck is then loaded and the food is delivered to organizations such as The Palm Beach County Food Bank, The Jacobson Family Food Pantry of Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services, C.R.O.S Ministries, the First United Methodist Church, and many others.
If you are able to help with the distribution of bags, sorting collections, and/or organizing food on the truck, please contact Minda Shaiman.
