<style=”text-align: center;”>Most of us have known someone battling cancer or have lost a family member or friend to cancer. It is in this spirit that we at Congregation B’nai Israel are continuing our campaign called “Grow to Give.” Our first Grow to Give event was held 2 years ago with great success-our participants donated over 400 inches of hair to Locks of Love and Pantene Beautiful Lengths!
This year we are growing our hair again and we hope you will join us! The celebration will take place on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 12:45 pm here at Congregation B’nai Israel. Participants can donate eight (8) to ten (10) inches or more of their hair to an organization that makes wigs for cancer patients undergoing treatment. Hairstylists from all over the county will also join us at CBI to cut and style the hair of all that have “grown” to give.

Even if you don’t want to cut your hair, there are many other ways you can participate! In addition to collecting hair for wigs, we also raise funds for cancer research and for our own social action initiatives. We donate the proceeds to the American Cancer Society, Chai Lifeline, and JACOB International (Jews Against Cancer of the Breast), as well as the Kantor Family Center for Justice, our very own social action arm of our synagogue that works feverishly to help others who are in need.

We appreciate all donations – no amount is too small!

Another way to give is to become an event sponsor!

Event sponsors will be recognized the day of the event.

We hope that you will join us in this global cause. With your support, we will undoubtedly inspire widespread acts of loving kindness—gemilut chasadim.

Thank you for your commitment to this campaign that is very important to us and to others in our community. We are excited about the impact that we can have, simply by growing our hair.

Warmly,
The Grow to Give Team
