At Congregation B’nai Israel, music truly is at the heart and soul of all that we do. From the adult and children’s choirs, wonderful Friday night services, and our funny and fantastic Purim Shpiels, to our moving High Holy Day services, there is something for everyone here at CBI.

Music Groups

Come find your voice at Congregation B’nai Israel

ADULT CHOIR – Come join us for friendship and fun with enjoyable evenings where we make beautiful Jewish music in preparation for services and other community events. This adult singing group teaches everything in a fun, inclusive manner. There is no need to read music or Hebrew. For more information, contact Cantor Muchnick.

ACOUSHTICK – The Acoushticks make Jewish music come alive for the congregation. This group uplifts us at services and really rocks the house!

JUNIOR CHOIR (Kindergarten to 5th Grade) – Have a budding star on your hands? Our Associate Cantor, Sarah Freudenberger, leads this group of children in learning a wide variety of Jewish music for holidays and Shabbat, and participation in our Purim Shpiels. While Junior Choir usually meets Sundays during religious school, we are currently creating music virtually until we can all be together in person. Performances are during services and programs at CBI and also around our community.  For more information, contact Associate Cantor, Sarah Freudenberger.

GUITAR CLUB – This club is a FREE once a month guitar class, open to beginner through proficient guitar and ukulele players, facilitated by Associate Cantor Sarah and our amazing BISY song leaders.
