Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ) at Congregation B’nai Israel is a group of women who strive to promote a variety of important goals. Among our aims are to improve Jewish learning and living, advance social justice through advocacy and action, and fund the education of our Clergy by making donations to the YES Fund and strengthen its congregants commitment to Reform Judaism. We inspire spirituality, educate families, support children, and sustain the religious school and early childhood programs. At CBI, WRJ hosts many activities, including making holiday baskets for seniors and families in need, collecting school supplies for children as well as collecting toiletries for women in shelters and seniors along with a wide variety of programs for all to enjoy.
Our mission statement is:
Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ) strengthens the voice of women worldwide and empowers them to create caring communities, nurture congregations, cultivate personal and spiritual growth and to advocate for and promote progressive Jewish values.
