Bereavement Classes at CBI

Class 1: Tradition, Comfort, and the Journey of Grief

Monday, November 9 | 10:00 AM
Joel S. Nadel Boardroom

Join us for a compassionate and supportive exploration of Jewish perspectives on loss, mourning, and healing. Rooted in centuries of tradition, Jewish bereavement practices offer comfort, meaning, and a sense of community during times of grief. Together, we’ll learn about the journey of mourning—from aninut and shiva to shloshim and yahrzeit—and the rituals and customs that accompany each stage. Along the way, we’ll reflect on how these practices can help us honor loved ones, navigate loss, and gently find our way forward.

Guest Course Instructor: Rabbi Marci Bloch, Director of Jewish Community Outreach and leader of the Tikvah Jewish Care & Support Program at Empath Trustbridge Hospice
