The Joshua Program is named for the biblical leader Joshua, who courageously guided the Israelites into the Promised Land after Moses. At the Battle of Jericho, it wasn’t force of arms that brought down the city’s walls, but unity, faith, and visionary leadership. In that same spirit, the Joshua Program empowers emerging leaders within our congregation to break down barriers, build community, and carry CBI’s mission forward with strength, vision, and heart.
The Joshua Program is CBI’s leadership development initiative designed to cultivate the next generation of congregational leaders. Becoming a leader is a sacred partnership, and this program provides a deeper understanding of CBI’s mission, operations, and community life.
Over the course of four 90-minute evening sessions in January and February, participants will:
Learn from clergy, staff, and lay leadership about CBI’s values and vision.
Explore the responsibilities and opportunities of congregational leadership.
Engage in meaningful conversations about the future of our community.
Meet with CBI’s Board of Trustees for an inside look at governance and decision-making.
There is no monetary commitment to participate; only a willingness to learn, connect, and lead.
If you feel called to step forward in leadership, we invite you to join the Joshua Program. Interested participants should email Steve Allen to be considered. Candidate interviews and selections will occur through mid-November.
Take the first step toward shaping the future of CBI and join us on this journey of leadership, faith, and community.
