Pink Shabbat

Friday, October 9 | 6:00 PM
Cohen/Friedkin Sanctuary

Held in partnership with  Sharsheret, the Jewish community’s resource for breast and ovarian cancer support, Pink Shabbat brings our community together to raise awareness, share resources and show support for those whose lives have been touched by breast and ovarian cancer.

This year’s program features special guests who will offer personal insight and valuable information about breast cancer awareness, early detection, self-advocacy and the resources available to individuals and families.

  • Rachel Sobel, award-winning writer, speaker, podcaster, the creator of Whine and Cheezits©, breast cancer survivor and Sharsheret Ambassador, will share a powerful message about the importance of early detection and advocating for your own health.
  • Chani Kolan, Outreach Program Coordinator for Sharsheret’s Southeast Region, will speak about the organization’s work supporting individuals and families facing breast and ovarian cancer. She will also highlight the resources and support available to members of our community.
  • The evening will also feature Cantorial Soloist Marcy Morris.

Following the program, everyone is invited to stay for a special Pink Oneg featuring pink challahs and an opportunity to connect with friends, neighbors and members of the CBI community.

And, of course, we encourage everyone to wear pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Registration is required.
