Rabbi Erica Rosenkranz Installation

CONGREGATION B’NAI ISRAEL will formally install Rabbi Erica Rosenkranz as the Temple’s Senior Associate Rabbi at an Installation Shabbat on Friday, October 30, at 7:00 p.m. A special oneg will follow. Rabbinic Installations are historic and rare in a Congregation’s history and often occur once a generation. There will be special guests and presentations from the Temple’s Board, Schools, and auxiliary groups.

Rabbi Rosenkranz was born and raised in Rockland County, New York. She graduated from Binghamton University with a double major in Comparative Literature and Judaic Studies. In 2006, Rabbi Rosenkranz received her Rabbinic Ordination from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York. Prior to becoming the Rabbi at CBI, Rabbi Rosenkranz served as Director of Community Engagement for the NOW for Holocaust Survivors Initiative, a community program launched in late 2019 by the MorseLife Foundation in partnership with the Jewish Federation in Palm Beach County, Florida. She also served as the campus Rabbi at MorseLife Health System in West Palm Beach, and spent six years working in the planning department at the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County, starting new initiatives like the Jewish Volunteer Center and creating programs to engage all ages of the Palm Beach County community.

Rabbi Rosenkranz is passionate about volunteerism and helping create positive change, one person at a time. She lives by the Pirkei Avot teaching (2:16), where it states, “It is not your responsibility to finish the work, but neither are you free to desist from it.”

Rabbi Rosenkranz loves attending music concerts, working out, and taking trips and spending quality time with her family. Her husband, Rabbi Andrew Rosenkranz, is the Rabbi at Temple Beth Torah in Wellington. She has two children, Laila, who attends UCF in Orlando, and Haviv, who is in 8th grade.
