Feed the Community
For over 30 years, Congregation B’nai Israel has joined forces with Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church to provide a beautiful Thanksgiving meal to thousands of community members in need. Congregation and church members, local restaurants and country clubs, and many other members of the community join together to provide turkey with all the trimmings, pies, cakes, and cookies, and more to individuals and families who would otherwise go without during the holidays.
Opportunities to volunteer are available each year-from donations of food and money, to volunteering your time at the event, nothing is too little.
To accommodate our large number of volunteers, to give give volunteers a more satisfying experience and to assist our committee we have added more volunteer options to the registration form including: kitchen duty, runners, table busing, guest relations (talking with guests at tables) and greeter (give direction and assists guests with questions). Also, we will require 10 minutes of clean up after all volunteer shifts. Thank you for your service.
