Special Programs

Through personal narratives, thought-provoking book talks, films, lectures, and cultural gatherings, Congregation B’nai Israel’s Special Programs bring our community together through stories, music, culture, and conversation. From inspiring lectures and book talks to films and cultural events, each gathering offers meaningful opportunities to learn, reflect, and celebrate Jewish life.

Lunch & Learns

Lunch & Learns are an opportunity to enjoy community, conversation, and learning over a light lunch with our Rabbis and guest educators. Covering themes from Jewish law and spiritual practice to heritage, contemporary Israel, and questions of faith, each session offers insights you can carry into daily life.

Lunch & Learns range from one-time sessions to multi-class series.

Melton Classes at CBI

In partnership with B’nai Torah and the Florence Melton School, CBI hosts Melton classes that offer adults a rich and meaningful way to deepen Jewish understanding.

Led by our Clergy, courses at CBI typically span six weeks and explore themes such as the Arab–Israeli conflict, biblical texts, modern Jewish identity, antisemitism, Zionism, and more.
