Selichot: A Sound Bath for the Soul

Begin your High Holy Day journey with an evening of reflection, forgiveness, and spiritual preparation — reimagined through the power of sound.

What is Selichot?
Selichot marks the spiritual beginning of the High Holy Days — a time to open our hearts to compassion, forgiveness, and return (Teshuvah).

What to Expect:

  • Restorative meditation
  • Immersive sound experience
  • A sacred entry to the High Holy Days

Why Join?

  • Step away from the noise and enter a space of stillness
  • Reflect and renew before Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur
  • Prepare your heart and mind for the sacred days ahead

Wednesday, September 17
4PM – 6PM

You’re invited to join us for a meaningful mitzvah as we assemble Rosh Hashanah gift bags to homebound elderly.

Each bag will be filled with traditional holiday items—challah, grape juice, apples, and honey—to help ensure everyone enjoys a sweet New Year.

All ages welcome – bring your family and friends!

We are thrilled to share that Rabbis Rony Keller, Samantha Kahn, and Robert Silvers will be joining the Melton faculty this winter, co-teaching two inspiring classes hosted at Congregation B’nai Israel:

  • History of Hatred: The Ever-Present Threat of Antisemitism
    Wednesdays at 10:30 AM | Begins December 3 | 6 weeks

  • Understanding Zionism: The Return to the Jewish Homeland
    Wednesdays at 10:30 AM | Begins February 3 | 6 weeks

Both classes will be offered in-person at CBI, with a hybrid option available.
