Begin your High Holy Day journey with an evening of reflection, forgiveness, and spiritual preparation — reimagined through the power of sound.

What is Selichot?
Selichot marks the spiritual beginning of the High Holy Days — a time to open our hearts to compassion, forgiveness, and return (Teshuvah).

You’re invited to join us for a meaningful mitzvah as we assemble Rosh Hashanah gift bags to homebound elderly.

Each bag will be filled with traditional holiday items—challah, grape juice, apples, and honey—to help ensure everyone enjoys a sweet New Year.

All ages welcome – bring your family and friends!

The CBI Brotherhood invites you to roll up your sleeves and help us build our congregational sukkah in the Pollock Family Courtyard. Whether you’re a master with a hammer or just handy with good cheer, your help makes a difference.

Celebrate Sukkot with the CBI Brotherhood at our Bourbon n’ Bros n’ Friends event!

The evening will feature a sampling of more than 20 bourbons and small plates prepared by VIP Caterers — the perfect pairing for a night of camaraderie and celebration.

Help our Monthly Mitzvah make a bigger impact!

To have our October “Pause for a Cause” reach even more of our local furry friends, please bring in dog & cat toys, dog treats, or kitten food upon entry to Tot Shabbat. All donations will benefit local animal rescues and shelters.

Simchat Torah Celebration & Kindergarten Consecration

Celebrate the annual completion and restarting of the reading of the Torah with us. We will dance, sing and enjoy sweets after the scrolls are unrolled and displayed around the Sanctuary.

We are thrilled to share that Rabbis Rony Keller, Samantha Kahn, and Robert Silvers will be joining the Melton faculty this winter, co-teaching two inspiring classes hosted at Congregation B’nai Israel:

  • History of Hatred: The Ever-Present Threat of Antisemitism
    Wednesdays at 10:30 AM | Begins December 3 | 6 weeks

  • Understanding Zionism: The Return to the Jewish Homeland
    Wednesdays at 10:30 AM | Begins February 3 | 6 weeks

Both classes will be offered in-person at CBI, with a hybrid option available.

hurricane supplies

Hurricane season is here, and for many in Florida, being prepared can mean the difference between safety and hardship. This September, as part of our CBI September Social Action Initiative: “Weather the Storm,” we are collecting essential hurricane supplies to help our neighbors face emergencies with confidence.

Most-Needed Items:

  • Batteries (all sizes)
  • Flashlights
  • First Aid Kits
  • Bottled Water
  • Disposable Rain Slickers
  • Solar-Powered Fans with Lanterns
  • Survival Emergency Glow Sticks
  • Emergency Survival Kit

Donations will go to Neighbors in Need, The Little Free Pantry, and Jewish Family Services

You can order supplies directly from our Amazon Wish List or drop them off at CBI. NCECE & SLJ students may bring their monthly donation to their classroom.
